Default 2004 Express 1500 AWD

Looking to replace the wheels on our conversion van. Being that it is an AWD vehicle, will wheels from other Chevy 1500 4×4 platforms fit this vehicle? I'd like to possibly use updated factory wheels from newer pickups, but have been told they wont work due to differing offsets and backspacings. What have owners of AWD versions of the Express done? I know I can go to Tire Rack and the like, but a guy near me sells take off packages for around $700 including tires. Just wondering what will work. Picture is of my current wheel situation. Thank you in advance for any advice you may bring to this issue.

You can get a rough offset idea with a tape measure. If it seems close then just try them on. You said it's near you anyway.
