I little more work today....
covered some pieces on the door and then the Sunvisors...
all in all turned out great..
I am gonna look and see if there is a company that offers
the Wood grain look for the dash and the pods on the door panels
and then the drink tray.... I have seen pics of them on conversion
vans.. I am wondering if they are for sale to the public...

Wood Grain look
I am thinking you were kidding around..
but then I got to thinking..
maybe you were not...
so I figured I better post a pic of what I found
on the net... I would like to get those pieces
door panel , drink tray, and dash bezel.

No joking. Those pieces are fine. And an '06 doesn't have the side curtain bags, or you'd have seen them when you had the headliner down. But to the right of the dash panel is the passenger air bag. Keep that clear, and you're good. Or rather, your passenger is good.
I do love wood. I can't remember the name, but back in the day there was a conversion company that did a lot of wood trim. Real wood.

Here ya go Stan.. these are what your talking about.. and a while back I had showed a pic of a
few pieces... But these are all out of a Gladiator conversion van
I have the pieces that go to the doors as well just not sure if I am going to
incorporate them onto my van.... been on the fence about the door panels.

Is that stuff from the same van you got some lighting from(in post 109, page 11 of this thread)? Nice wood, but it has seen better days. If I were doing this, I'd refinish all the wood. And while most of it is mahogany, a piece or two don't look like it. It is difficult to say from a photo.

There are 4 pieces that did not come with the same wood.
I had truly thought about refinishing the pieces.... some are in excellent shape and a few are not so much....
I just dont know for sure what im going to do...I even thought about covering the pieces....
Just dont know yet
