Cause you da man? I'm guessin' the prior discussions indicate you knew more than he did.
So Ron, what is this about a "plastic strap"? I used a bottle jack to compress the front shocks, and after I figured it out, the second one went in in about 15 minutes, without taking the wheel off. On the rear, seeing as how it's ring on one end and bar on the other, I have a ratchet tie down (minus the hooks) that should compress it just fine. I'm sure I'll have to take that wheel off.

There was no Malace as to me figuring that you would know about the axle
splines.. YES.. since you have told us that you have many vans.. it only seems
fit to assume that you would know.. you have known much more about things
in the past... Dont take affence.. there was known intended...
STAN... other brand named shocks come with either a white or black plastic
retainer the shocks come that way compressed.. so when you bolt once side in
you cut the strap.. the shock decompress and you hurry up and align the hole
in the bracket hole and shock . SUPER EASY....
YES.. I used my small nascar style jack and a block of 2x4.. to raise the front
ones up into the hole.. NO I didn not take off my tires either .. The fronts went
on fast... and the rear did too actually.. just would have been easier if they came
with the plastic straps ....
as far as the travel .. well thats got me concerned ...... I messaged the
company I bought from about the concern along with the pictures.. guess
we will see what if any response I get back....

I get that....
I dont drive my van on an everyday basis either.. which will lend
more time for corrosion to set it.... but here is what I know...
I needed shocks.. BAD.... real bad.. all four of mine if I compress them
myself... would stay compressed.. no rebound at all...

Rear Diff Cover...
( STAN )... dont say it... lol
once I know what spline my axles are
I will order the Power trax unit....
I also have to measure the Rotors...
Frt and Rear... I will order them as well.
and then Paint my calipers... I will document
all of the work Like I have done in the past..
and share with everyone.
I figure if I can get some decent weather I can
clean and paint the calipers while I am waiting on
the rest of the parts to arrive...
