1994 Chevy Blazer K
I have two chronic problems with my Blazer.
1. When I press on the accelerator, i get an initial jump, but the engined then boggs for a second before resumingnormalacceleration. 2. I have plugs that fowl about every 6 months. I would love your input as I am no mechanic. Thanks. -Dave |

Sounds like its running rich. You could possibly have a clogged cat converter.

We are talking K5 blazer arent we?
You can replace the catalytic converter to fix a problem with that. Flooding problems will correct themselves most of the time, but if it doesn't you can adjust the choke. |

Never had to do it man. It may not be the cat at all. It may be something as simple astiming. Its hard to tele-diagnose that problem.
Next time you take a fouled plug out, take a close-up picture of the end of it before you clean it. It can be really helpful in finding out what the problem is. |

I would love to hear some other opinions. Thanks.

doesnt sound like the cat but if u do have problems with it take it off and punch a hole through it from one end to the other. it sounds like a fuel problem to me but that shouldn't foul the plugs try using a hotter plug and see what it dose

RE: 1994 Chevy Blazer K
what plugs do you use? If they are Champion or NGKplugs, throw them in the garbage and get some ACDelco or Bosch plugs

I assume it has TBI
Sounds to me like you should check the timing, may be retarded slightly and also if you know someone with a scanner see if the tps is working ok |
