2008 Suburban 1500 LTZ rear wiper and glass tailgate
 

The rear wiper and glass tailgate have both stopped working at the same time, are they connected or a coincidence? I've searched the web regarding both and found repair videos regarding easier models but nothing for the 2008. Fuses are good, any help in diagnosing and repairing is greatly appreciated.
