83 k10 electrical problems

So I just got an 83 chevy K10 Scottsdale with 4X4. I have the 350 in it. When i got it, most of the electrical worked, with the exception of the horn and power outlet. well, after checking all the fuses, and wigling wires, the horn and power outlet circuit works, but now my turn signals dont work at all. I've looked at the fuses, they all seem to be fine, and the wireing for the front signals appears to be in OK shape. I fixed one bulb where the wires had been chewed through by a squirrel, but nothing else leaps out at me as wrong. any suggestions for where to look next for fixing this?
Thanks

Electrical problems reply

I had the same problems i was constantly chasing wire problems asked my brother who has the same truck what the problem was and he had to replace the switch inside the column. so using a test light i would probe the on wires that led into the column (passenger side plug) and had power going in when i turned the signal on but not power coming out. I knew i was loosing power inside the column but didn't know where. I did research and found the switch inside the column. you can get to it through the pulling the steering wheel.

Also check the little metal blinker boxes on your fuse board the go out often.
