defroster issues 99' pickup
 

has anyone had the problem with their defroster controls? The problem is that the heat will blow throught the face vents but when put to defrost it dosnt change over.....could there be a moter or is this an electric problem...

Hey, Try looking for the vacuum relay near the trap door on the floorboard. Sometimes the hoses crack and can't flip the door over to defrost. Sometimes the cable that moves the door is broke. also on some models there is an actuator under the hood by the blower motor that go's bad or the vacuum line there is broke. Hope this helps.
