DRL Module location

I have a replacement DRL (Daytime running lights) module, small circuit board with a few components. Does anyone know where I can locate the module on a 96 Tahoe 2Dr/4wd. The electrical diagram in the Hayes manual is great for diagnosing the problem, but gives no info on location and tracing wires is impossible since they are all taped up.

GM part # 12135174

RE: DRL Module location

About the best thing that I can recommend for this unless someone knows, is to call the dealer or go to the parts department. Usually they have the schematics available for you to look at. The other option is to check on www.mygmlink.com, there they have the owner manuals that you can look at online, and that might offer you some better information in regards to locating the module. I know this doesn't answer your question but I hope that it helps.

RE: DRL Module location

I finally found the module location. It was a gray plastic box wrapped with the large wire harness. Once I removed the tape around the harness I found the box and there is an opening on the top with wires on the bottom. Once you open the top, the module can be pulled out with pliers and the new one went right in. DRL now working again.
