Duramax Diesel Fuel Problems

I have a 2002 Chevy 3500 Dullie 4x4 with 210,000 miles. For the past couple months, I have had to prime the fuel filter once about every two weeks in the morning before I start the day. If I didn't do this, the truck will start and run for about 30 seconds and die. Now it is a daily occurance. After I prime the filter housing, the truck is good to go for the rest of the day. Another problem I have is the air filter is literaly getting sucked in the intake. Can anyone out there give me some clues on to what I need to fix these things?

RE: Duramax Diesel Fuel Problems

sounds like your fuel system is sucking air in between the filters and the tank. does that have a primary and secondary fuel filter? thats exacty what happend on or 2tons when we screw with people and open up the bleeder screw on top of the filter, you start it, and after the filter dries out, you have no fuel (its cruel.. but funny)
