DVD Remote control issue
 

Hi, not sure where exactly to post this, but I bought a used 2003 Chevy Venture, WB edition with DVD player, etc. The remote control won't work, so I tried to order one from a local dealership. No deal. Then I got one off ebay - still doesn't work. I'm not sure what to do next, or if it is even a remote control issue, or something we are just doing wrong??? Anyone have any help or ideas, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!

you could have a problem with the rear audio/video hvac module not sending a infrared to the dvd player or maybe a problem with the dvd player itself. also could be an open or high resistance in the infrared signal wire.
