Finding GM electrical connectors
I'm working on adding sun visors with lights to my Express van.
By some miracle, after looking through hundreds of images on Google, I have identified the female connector that came on the sun visor as PT146 / 12085535. Now I need to find the matching male connector. There has to be a better way to find these connectors. Please advise! Thanks! |
Well, I was able to find some information in the online Chilton manual (that I get access to through my library).
The female connector was listed as OEM 12047662 / service connector was 12085535 and 2-Way F Metri Pack 150 Series (BK) The male connector was listed as OEM 12047663 / service connector was 13584278 and 2-Way M Metri Pack 150 Series (BK). I was able to find the OEM connectors on Mouser.com very cheap: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...1sF5gPlQ%3D%3D. Got crimps too: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...YdpNUCfA%3D%3D Still got lucky in finding a end connector view on the Chilton manual but I'll take it. |
I've found that the GM electrical connectors for the 2021 Silverados are pretty standardized, so if you're having trouble finding the correct ones, you might need to verify the year and model of your vehicle first. You can also check the GM Parts website or visit a local dealership for more info.
