Front end skake
I traded my 2003 tahoe for a new 2009 tahoe 2WD WITH 5.3 V8 ENGINE.....since day one my new tahoe has had a front end shake. Local dealer has balanced my tires twice......no help. The new tahoe rides worse than my 2003 with 108,000 miles. The new tahoe has 20 inch wheel from the factory????
Anyone have a clue what might be happening? Tim in tennessee 615-300-3000 |

The 20 inch wheels are a factory option ($1,795.00) with bridgestone tires.

I bought a used 08 silverado truck with 22s (not factory) and my front end wobbled and got worse when i pressed the brakes. had the dealer re balance rotate and align the front end. it still wobbled. i demanded to get the stock 17s. they put them on and ive had no problems ever since.

You need to take it to a shop that has a balance that can perform road force and match mount ( google it for more info) ( or google Hunter GSP 9700). I could balance a brick put it would never roll smoothly.

There was a Silverado which had the same problem recently. It turned out to be a bad balancing job by the company which sold the rims.

Could be a lot of things, Bad Tire (more than likely, and go with the road force testing), could be a bent tie rod end, bad alignment. Kinda hard to tell with out driving it tho.
