L31 vortec 350 to 400 swap. Keeping everything except the block.
Hey guys. I have a 96 k1500 with the 5.7 vortec in it and i really wanna swap my worn block(240k) for a freshly built 400.(Probably a new dart block) My Question is Besides steam holes for my heads, different push rods, As well as a flex-plate for my 4l60e, Is there any other Fitment issues i need to consider with the swap. I would like to keep as many things as possible to keep it cheap. I'm unsure if any of my accessories will transfer over.(a/c compressor alternator etc.) Also i would like to run a mechanical fuel pump since thats available for some of these blocks. Will i have any problems with that paired with the sfi.
