Gen VI 7.4 454 Intermittent Tick/Click
 

Longtime lurker with many questions answered due to these forums, appreciate all the help! Aside from all the auto help I've gotten, I've got an issue that has me, along with two other mechanics stumped. I have a newly rebuilt Gen VI 454 Volvo Penta 7.4 Gi in my boat that has an intermittent click/tick noise. Noise seems to be coming from the front upper engine. Engine runs strong (only have a 30 or so minutes on it) and starts right up and has no issues with power or anything else. I have two videos with noise with the boat under load and at the dock and the noise is the same regardless. I am hesitant to run the engine with the noise for fear of a major problem since I just paid for a new longblock. I have removed the the belts one by one to see if it was something related to the alternator, water circulating pump, etc.. and with all belts off the noise is still there. Thoughts/Ideas??
