high beam switching question

Can you give me some tips on something? I have a 2013 Suburban LTZ and at night my momentary hight beam switch does not switch the headlights to high beam. I am not sure it ever worked I recently purchased the Suburban. The high beams do work when you push the lever forward but does not momentary switch to high when you pull back on the lever.

Sounds like the multifunction switch is dirty or wearing out. Disassemble, inspect, clean , reassemble.
