SB chevy conversion

I was recently discussing stroking a 350 to a 383 with my dad to go in my camaro. I was wondering one what machining must be done to do this and also is a 305 block the same as a 350 where as the 350 is just a different stoke/bore and if so can one be stroke to make it a 383 or would someone recomend finding a old 350 block and then replacing all internals as would be needed for the 383. thanks for the help.

RE: SB chevy conversion

305 and 350 blocks differ in bore size. I wouldn't recommend boring a 305 to a 350..

try doing a search for 383 conversion on line I'm sure you'll find plenty of info on the 383 conversion as it is very popular.
