Stick to auto swap
 

I just bought a worked 350 out of a 69 camaro to put in my 84 C10 straight 6 street rod project. The camaro was a stick and my truck is an automatic. From what I've read I can just change the flex plate from the straight 6 and put it on the 350. Am I able to use the straight 6 starter on the 350? Other thing thats been bothering me is the person selling me the 350 didn't know what cam it has. With me hooking it to a th350 how do I know if I need a stall convertor? If I use the stock convertor and it needs a stall will it damage anything? Should I just change the cam and be done with it?
