Tranny Problems

I have a 92 2door Blazer Sport that came with a manny tranny from the factory. i dont know how common that is to see but i am having a problem with the tranny. Every time i shift into 3rd and 4th i grind gears. The only way to prevent from grinding gears is to wait for the truck to slow down enough to shift into gear.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue or what the issue may be?

RE: Tranny Problems

sounds like the syncro's r gone, this trany is not the greatest of GM's standard trany's. i've replaced the 5 spd. in my '94 4dr. T15 Jimmy 4 times-mostly due to my heavy right foot and snappin' left. find a wreckers for a replacement, or just bring it up high and shift straight 2 5th. as you've probably figured out by now (even if u didn't cause the damage), u can't abuse these trany's, they won't stand up 2 it.
