06 HHR jump start, now no power steering
I PROPERLY hooked up my cable to jumpstart my Elky today, got back in the HHR and had no power steering. I did see where someone said "if hooked up wrong you can "FRY" the steering". Is this meaning the power assist elec motor or the large fuse (circuit breaker) is fried?
Also, how do I reset the ignition switch to release my key? This happen 3 years ago when I changed the battery and now I need to press the release button inside the column every time I go to get the key out. Also also, I have had continued surging while sitting at a light, my tech says its a torque converter clutch, inside the tranny, I had this when I bought it but the dealer never made a claim because they couldn't get it to do it. Now I cant pass emissions and the state says it has to be fixed but it costs $300 just to pull the tranny to get to the TCC. HELP GM HELP! CHRIST I HAVE 6 OF YOUR CARS IN THE DRIVEWAY |

was the fuse blown?
If the tcc was stuck on wouldn't it stall the engine. Was a dtc set that made your mechanic think there is a tcc problem? |
blown fuse?
The car is at a transmission shop now, I will put fuse in when I get there....trans shop says code is Poor performance TCC not short or otherwise...I am currently fighting my extended warranty company to pick up the $2000 service

hope you got gmpp. other aftermarket warranties are notorious for taking your premium but not covering anything that commonly fails. Its like health care; they make millions by not paying out. I've seen people buy a $1700 extended warranty only to have to pay for a wheel speed sensor replacement 1month later.
good luck |
