2006 HHR rear wiper blade
[:@] today i took my 2006 HHR LT into the dealer for a recall on the impact area above the passenger door, took an hour and a half to install this recall. While I was waiting to get the HHR back I asked the dealer to install a new wiper blade(gm part I got off e-bay) the dealer charged me $11.00 to install the rear blade! I wonder why gm is going broke? they seem to over charge for just about anything they can get by with.:eek:

the recall is a TSB bulletin to fix the paint chipping area on the rear fenders for those HHR's that do not have running boards installed

sorry about the last post I didn't get enough sleep the nite before: the recall on the head liner above the passenger door is fixed at the dealer, it takes about an hour at the dealer, they put in more padding material above the door looks the same on the inside of the car, just smells of glue for about 4 hours after.[8D]

I also didn't receive or see anything on recall, do you need a letter or other info when you call or go into dealer?

No you don't need a letter although I got one from the dealer, you can ask the dealer to look up your vin# and see if you are affected by the recall.

In tests at an impact point near the attachment of the sun visor to the roof, the Standard's requirement was exceeded. If a front seat occupant's head contacts that point in a crash, the occupant's injury could be increased. What will we do? Your GM dealer will install an additional energy absorbing device between the front headliner and the vehicle roof on the driver and passenger side. This service will be performed for you at no charge . Because of service scheduling requirements, it is likely that your dealer will need your vehicle longer than the actual service time of approximately 30 minutes. If your vehicle is within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty your dealer may provide you with shuttle service or some other form of courtesy transportation while your vehicle is at the dealership for this repair. Please refer to your Owner’s Manual and your dealer for details on courtesy transportation. What should you do? You should contact your GM dealer to arrange a service appointment as soon as possible.
