1963 chevy impala starting problems
I have a 1963 chevy impala with a starting problem. If the car is cold it starts with no problem ,but once the car warms up and gets hot the starter drags or doesn't start at all. It has a 350 that has a cam, bored out to 40 over, and has headers that are wraped up. Someone told me that I need a stronger starter because the engine has higher compression. What do you'll think it is?

Thats probably the problem, when the engine gets hot its tighter and harder to spin over. Ask about a chevy Hi Torque Starter (same price)

starter may also be getting really hot from the headers.
I believe they sell heat shields for the starters |
