2001 Chevy impala transmission issue

2001 Chevy Impala 3.8 liter V6 has transmission problem.

Under every possible condition, transmission seems to slip as if in a limp mode. There are no error codes present. It has severely erratic shifting (as if tranny isn't getting hydraulic pressure), and virtually no power to the wheels.

To better describe the issue I have, I should explain what It feels like to me. I suspect a 1-2 shift solenoid issue, a pressure control solenoid issue, clogged catalytic converter, or clogged fuel pump. If you think of how these possible issues relate to one another, you will understand the problem.

The engine runs flawlessly, but it seems to have trouble transmitting that power to the wheels.

Thoughts?

Plugged Catalytic Converter will leave all kinds of codes (EGR). I had this happen in my 2001 Impala when it had about 70K on it and it had numerous EGR codes. A fuel delivery problem will most likely leave codes. This leaves the Transmission as the most likely culprit. I do not know what transmission codes a 2001 could have but if there are no codes it is most likely something mechanical that the computer does not monitor and not an electrical part.
