2012 evap code delete

If I have the evap code removed from my 2012 Impalas computer my understanding is that the check engine light will not be triggered by it. My question is will my remote start continue to work if this is done or will I still have the issue of it not working even though the code has been removed?

I don't think remote start has anything to do with check engine lights or the evap system.

But should fix your evap system if that's cause of the warning light. It's trying to tell you something. I could be as simple as a loose gas cap.

yeah I have a small evap leak and I've done all the easy fixes besides replacing lines. When the check engine light is on the remote start does not work.

might be some kind of fail-safe then. Not sure.

factory remote start is disabled when the a dtc sets.
if you have emission testing and the evap monitor isn't complete...you fail. speak to the tuner.

easier to fix it in my opinion. with the right tools evap diagnostic is a breeze. post the code
