2012 Impala Stabilizer Links

I really like my 2012 LTZ. Unfortunately it has been through 2 stabilizer (sway bar) links, 1 on each side and the other day I heard another one break, the rattle noise came back shortly after. Bringing it to the dealer again for repairs Friday. I am concerned because my car has 35,500 miles. Additionally I am a bit confused as this body style of Impala has been around for years so it seems odd this is such a regular issue. I have a few questions.

1. Will GM keep replacing the obviously faulty part on their dime, post warranty considering its clearly not strong enough?

2. Is there an after market stabilizer pin that will hold up better?

3. Does GM plan to address this weak link with an updated (stronger) part?

Thanks,

Dave

They do break from time to time.

Maybe it is your driving that is breaking the stabilizer links.

Why don't you buy an aftermarket links?

Thanks, Sledge, RockAuto has Moog for less than $6 per link, if you know of stronger let me know.... I still have trouble seeing how the stock ones dont hold up. Last one broke sitting at a red light.

Under warranty for 500 more miles so dealer will get this one, hope it holds through the winter

To be clear, I do not 4x4 my 2012 LTZ, I treat it like a baby, avoid potholes and rough roads

Do you have other issues with your front end?

Are your tires good or wearing uneven? Struts/shocks bad? Alignment is good?

No, Just had new tires and alignment a month ago, front was barely off, back passenger was out a bit too.

Old tires (stock eagle) were worn evenly and not down to wear marks yet but we get rough winters here and I didnt want to wait for tires.

Car has 35500 miles
