2014 ImpalaLTZ incorrect outside temp readings

I have a 2014 Impala LTZ that gives incorrect outside temp readings. The ambient temp sensor was changed, but did not correct the issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

probably nothing wrong

if its like the trucks; the reading is not always live. the sensor is located near the radiator...a heat source. it uses an algorithm to compensate for the influence of the rad. it will update when the proper conditions are met.

The car is a wreck. Had some damage on the rear trunk and a quarter panel. From the back doors forward the car was immaculate. 6K miles I had hoped it would go away with the new sensor. No such luck

You are talking about the one on the mylink console, upper left corner?

How incorrect is it? Like 5 degrees? 10? 50? 100? Reads NULL? Up or down? fluctuates wildly?

Outside temp issue

It is the one you are speaking of. Sometimes it reads 140 sometimes it shows no temp at all. It appears to alway read extremely high or not at all.
