P2440 Code-Please help
 

Please help

I have a 2008 Chevy Impala LT 3.4 V6. I recently tarted receiving a engine Light and a coworkorder ran the light and came up with "P2440 secondary air injection system switching valve stuck open (Bank 1)" What causes this and how can I get it fixed?

Possible Causes Setting Conditions

• AIR pump connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)
• AIR pump relay coil control circuit is shorted to ground
• AIR pump solenoid power (12v) circuit is shorted to voltage
• AIR pump relay switch supply circuit is open or shorted to ground
• ECM has failed
• codes refer to emission & should be covered under factory warranty
