Speed Limit setting???

I was going in the freeway and hit 107 and the car would not go any faster because the speed limit is set to 107 mph.

How can I set it to 140 which is the real speed limt of the car?

Thank you guys!!!

RE: Speed Limit setting???

The limiter is there for a reason and there is absolutely no reason to be going 107 mph on the freeway. Slow the heck down or go to a race track before you hurt somebody or yourself.

There are devices available to change the speedlimiter value(the Hypertec programmer for instance). If you are going to change the value, make sure you have tires rated for that speed.

In my state you would lose your licence for 30mph over the posted limit.

From what I have been informed, the police version of the Impalais limited to 126.

I was all alone in the highway, tires are good and why would I race a slow a$$ impala lol? I was just hurried and I could not go over 107. That's just stupid.

So how can I make this change????

Have to locate someone who has a programmer (ie: local speed shop)or buyone(ie: Micro Tuner Hand Held Programmer). Again I say make sure your tires are rated (if you don't know what I am referring to, look here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=35).

Speed limit

Who cares if it’s legal or not, who cares if he will get a ticket... Clearly he doesn’t nor do many of us. Just answer the mans question if you know the answer & carry on with your day or just don’t comment🤦🏼*♂️

who cares if he drives like a jackass and kills someone!! This information should not be provided to owners not knowing anything as to why the limiters are set to a target.

Let me see if I understand what you are asking.
You want your car to be able to go faster than police cars, as indicated, 126 mph.
You have a death wish, with a devil-may-care bravado.
The speedometer shows the number, so you MUST bury the needle.
You want to do a multi-rollover, instead of maybe one if a tire, even a good one, explodes.
You want to come in here and get other people to cooperate with your madness.

Mister, I think your need to finish your drink and leave.

Here's an idea. Let's let 12 year old sleeping dog posts lie. Nobody cares any more.

Wouldn't hurt to throw in the odd period either.
