1987 K5 BLAZER
I HAVE AN '87 K5 BLAZER, IT'S BEEN SOUNDING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL ANYTIME I APPLY THE BRAKES FOR A LONG AMOUNT OF TIME, SUCH AS AT A RED LIGHT I HAD THE THROTTLE BODY GASKET REPLACED AND NOW I HAD NO POWER WHEN I HIT THE GAS, AS MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE THE ENGINE SURGED AND THE TRUCK JUMPED FOWARD A BIT, AND IT STALLED 4 TIMES IN A ROW AFTER EACH RESTART IT ONLY MADE IT ABOUT 4 OR 5 FEET. AFTER THE FOURTH TIME IT DIED, I TRIED TO START IT REPEATEDLY, BUT AS SOON AS I SHIFTED GEARS, IT DIED. PLEASE HELP!

Can you smell gas, like it was flooded? If so, you want to check the coil to make sure your getting enough spark.

RE: 1987 K5 BLAZER
I had extremely similar issues with my 87 suburban, cheapest easiest to check is the fuel filter, about 8 bucks and 20 minutes of work, then pump.... then keep running the fuel and ignition systems. Doesn't sound readily like a spakr issue, but its possible. Good luck.
