Default 81 C10 starting issues

Hey guys I am new here and new to the C10 world. I bought an 81 C10 about a month ago. It has a 350 sbc swapped into it. Motor and trans run great but I have a starting issues. On a fresh start the truck starts with no problem, even driving for an hour or so then parking and starting again there is no issue, but if I drive it around for a longer period of time and go to start it, it won’t even try to crank or anything, it has to cool down for two hours or so it seems and then it will fire right up. It also has a new battery. Any idea what would cause this?

Likely a bad ICM. It gets too hot and has to cool down to operate again.

I’m sorry but what do you mean by ICM?
