Red face how does the dip stick attach to the pan

on the transmission. Is it pressed on? Or a nut on the inside? Give me a brake......as you can see...I am a female..

It presses in, and should have a bracket attached to trnsmission for support

Check it, there should be a bracket that screws to the transmission, Physically look/fell for anything that it is attached to. Is it leaking?
