2005 Classic - Vibration at idle, engine runs great

I have a recently acquired 2005 Malibu Classic with the 2.2 Ecotech. When I put the car in gear and let it idle, there is a pronounced vibration. I spent all day today removing and reinstalling the side engine and transaxle mounts (in front and rear of the engine compartment), but the rubber in both of them was fine. I didn't remove the front engine mount (on the PS of the engine compartment), but I can place my hand on the inner PS fender apron area where that engine mount attaches and I feel no vibration in the chassis while the engine is vibrating in drive. I can see the rubber in that mount and it appears to be intact without significant movement. I've checked DTC's and none are present. The car accelerates very smoothly, and the vibration goes away immediately when I slip the transmission into neutral. Any ideas?

does it do the same in both drive and reverse, or just drive?

Both drive and reverse, but probably a little more pronounced in drive.

Did you ever find out what your problem was with the vibration? I have an '05 Malibu Classic with the same exact problem.
