How do I remove the stereo from my 04 malibu
 

I need to remove the stereo from my 2004 Malibu. It has CD's stuck in it and keeps trying to eject them. It tried all night and drained my battery. Not happy about that so I took the radio fuse out.

How do I get the stupid thing out so I can take the CD player apart and retrieve my toddler's favorite CD's?

Its kind of a pain in the neck to do, and there are shortcuts but they are hard to explain so i'll give you the proper way to do it

Remove the drivers hush panel(under dash), remove drivers knee bolster. Take the glove box out, you'll need to flip the lid all the way down to access a few screws.
Grab the center panel down low and pull forward to release the clips. d\c the electrical connector, the remove the 7mm screws holding the HVAC and radio in place.

Hey thanks for the info and exploded art. Sounds harder than I thought it would be but we'll give it a try. I'll let you know how it turns out.
