95 lumina coolant loss

i seem to be going through alot of coolant lately,it dont seem to be leaking out the usual places, and it isnt going in the oil.i pulled off the throttle body and there is a small amount of moisture there after idling the car.by the way isnt the thermostat fun to change on a 3.1.hope someone can tell me whats wrong.

this is a 3100, correct? have you checked the intake manifold? They are notorious for leaking coolant and GM has an updated gasket available from the dealer. It is a relativly cheap repair if you do it yourself, a fortune if you pay some one.

have fast do you loose coolant? do you have white smoke coming out the tail pipe?

im losing about 1 gallon a week and theres no white smoke after it has been running for a minute or so

A gallon a wek is quite a bit....there should be an obvious leak if you are sure it isn't internal

Check the water pump, and as izod said, the intake. Especially under the throttle body area.

i cant check under the throttle body until i order a new gasket,it is always wet on the thermostat side, but it dont seem to be leaking at the thermostat

A slight amount of gunk will be there with age...
