Default No overdrive

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado LS 1500 4x4 with the 4L60E Trans. I let my brother borrow my truck and it had sprung a transmission oil leak from the oil cooler line going into the radiator. He did not check the fluid level after fixing the leak and drove approximately 50 miles with almost no fluid. When I drive the truck now, it will not shift into overdrive (4th gear). Which part in the transmission could have gotten damaged by driving with no or little fluid. I checked the dipstick after I first drove it and that's when I realized there was barely any fluid on the stick. I added fluid and drove it again hoping that the fluid would help it shift into 4th gear, but it did not. Could it be a solenoid or a band ? Any info would be appreciated.
