Default 1971 1-ton “box truck” no crank when hot

Just got this rig (45k miles) and the 350 runs great until you try and restart it after stopping for gas or other short task. No crank. No starter click. All dash indicators react normally. After checking battery voltage (12.6v) and checking for loose wires still nothing. After 15-20 minutes of cooling you can hit the key and it will fire right up (runs like a champ).
I’ve been out of the V8 world for a while but is this a starter solenoid issue? Can they do that when hot? I’ve got a long list of things to do on this rig and don’t want to replace stuff not needing replaced.

Thanks,
Mark

FYI “Box Truck” = Unmolested 20’ Winnebago Brave
