4 Common Mistakes People Do To Maintain Your Rims and Tires.
You spent some good money on your wheels, it’s time you took care of them. When cleaning your wheels and tires it is very important that you are very picky with the types of products and chemicals you use to clean your rims. Below we have listed the 4 most common mistakes people do when they are cleaning their wheels and tires.
1. Never apply a cleaning agent or tire dressing to a hot tire or wheel. Ensure your wheels are in the shade and cool to the touch. A hot surface may dry out the product before you rinse it off.
2. Do not use any Silicone-based tire dressings. These products might make your wheels and tires look good in the short run but will eventually turn your wheels brown overtime. They have also, been found to attract more grime to your tire. More time cleaning, less time being clean.
3. We do not recommend using any hard brushes, this might result in a scratched wheel.
4. Make sure you read the instructions included on the soap or cleaner. You do not want to leave the product on too long or put too much, it may lead to damaging your wheels or tires.
If you have any other tips or concerns do not hesitate to comment below.

On tires with raised white letters, I have used SOS- brand scrub pads, the steel wool-like pads with soap in them, for many years.
Just don't scrub the black tire surface with them!
Scrub the letters, then wipe off with the soapy water in your car wash bucket. Then spray off with water.
