***Need Help, Fuel Pump Not Recieving Fuel Under New Tank and Fuel Sending Unit!! ***

Hi,
I have a 1982 Chevrolet S10, it runs perfectly, but we put a brand new tank, fuel sending unit, and fuel pump, new hoses, and when try to start up, fuel does NOT get to the fuel pumped to be forced into the carb, but after firing, we pull the intake hose for the fuel pump and their is a vaccum seal of air. That means that the pump is working, but it is only pulling air and no fuel from the tank. The rubber lines on the fuel sending unit are not crossed nor kinked. PLEASE HELP! And We also put a full tank of gas in it to think that physics would force gas down the line, but nothing happens. So we then put a air compressor to the opposite end of the line and gas flew out the gas cap, so we know the line is clean, so wtf wont gas come back the other way!?!

Thanks alot!,
nathan ross
