1994 S-10 rough idle only at startup

I have a 1994 S-10 that starts easily but has a rough idle with a smell of gas for only the first 10-30 seconds. After that, it idles and runs normally. It does not stall and the check engine light has never come on. Any suggestions??? :confused:
