2000 S10 Starting issue.

Only when the truck has been ran that day. Some times it takes a sec to start. The work done to it is as follows

New Fuel Pump
New Fuel Filter
All Fluids changed
Oil Filter
Air Filter.
New coil
New wires
new plugs
Belt
Alternator
Battery

Can make a youtube vid if it helps

It runs great tho.....

Does it run rough for the first couple of seconds right after it starts?

itsmacintosh Oct 18, 2009 7:10 PM

Nope runs perfectly smooth. No miss or shakes.

Have the ignition module checked for failure. I had a simular issue, after replacing the what I thought was a coil issue the same thing occured, then come to find out it was the eginition module, which sits right next to the coil. Little Black Flat Heatsink looking thing.

should look like the link below.

Its the 2.2 L4 umm idk if this will work or if even mine has it?
is there a way to test this?? so it would be pointless to clean the injectors? I thought maby it was the injectors but this makes more sense it runs to smooth to be dirty...

that ignition module was a link purely for visual reference. Not to order the part.

the above like will walk you through the testing process of the module.

this should be the one you need.

Meaning what? Did you fix it? If yes wear ended up being the problem? Sorry to be negatively blunt but that really grinds my gears. People come to forums to ask for help. But they forget his helpful they themselves could be by simply returning to tell everyone if they fixed it. I guess a wise assumption would be they did fix it that's why they didn't reply back. But I myself have found solutions in other forms so completely forgot about the previous group chat.
