Blazer won't start

Went out this morning to start my 2001 blazer and it won't turn over not even a click. Tried jumper cables nothing. Battery connections are good. The volt meter on the dash said it was getting about 11.5 volts without the jumper cables. No we did not leave any lights on last night. We did have 2 really bad storms come through last night and I'm wondering if it got struck by lightning. Pretty far fetched I know.

Check the starter and the starter solenoid as the first step. Also check to see if you are getting voltage at the solenoid when the key is turned to start.

if a battery goes bad it will still say it has 11-12 volts but it wont produce any amps.

I got it to start. I disconnected the positive cable for 20 minuted and reconnected it. It started right up. I have no idea why it did this.
