electrical gremlin

98 s-10 4.3 4l60e trans and shifts out of park without pedal depressed turn signals do not work already replaced relay and hazards work. The third brake light works fine and when i go to use the turn signal the corresponding lights go dark. It happens when I turn the key on they go on I'm kind of thinking it might be the lockout solenoid.

Brake light/pedal switch?

I checked the pedal switch and replaced it but it didn't help thank you for your insight. I'm going to edit and get everything out there I have diagnosed maybe something will turn up that I over looked.

more than half of the electrical problems in any vehicle is a ground. check the grounds in the firewall and the radiator panel.

ragnor has my vote, ground is the second place you check right after the FUSE. That little thing you forgot after you spent half the day tracing wires in an old 65 Ford only to find that you forgot to check the FUSE FIRST. I was only about 14, and I'm 64 now I still remember to check the FUSE first. Then go to ground.
