Extended Cab 3rd Door Handle Broken
 

Hello,

Recently the extended Cab/3rd door handle on my 2002 S10 Extended Cab broke. I'm having a difficult time finding a replacement online. Any one know where i might be able to find it?

The handle itself? As in 'broke broke' or as it 'not fuctioning'?

broke as in, i went to open the door this past weekend and the plastic on the door handle hinge broke, so the handle moves but it won't open the door. I figure i will have to replace teh handle/armature to get it working again.

thanks, i was hoping to not pay the dealer mark up, but i guess if i have to bite teh bullet and go that route.

Yeah. Gotta hate those crooked dealers. They will take your money without thinking twice.

Before i hit up the local dealership i might hit up the local junk yard to see what they have in stock.

You gotta think about how many 3-door s10s there were out there... may not be likely to be found at the junkyard unless you get lucky. Anyway, good luck!

Well me and Murphy are very good friends so odds are it ain't gonna happen. i've already accepted that, so worst case scenario I just have to suck it up and go to the local dealership!!!!

Don't bother getting a dealer replacement or junkyard replacement, it will just break again. Have replaced mine once and others I know have replaced many.....Go on eBay and search for S10 third door handle, get one of the billet aluminum ones. Very inexpensive and about a 20 minute fix....
