just moved to a freezing climate. what weight oil to use?

so I just moved to the Boise area, love it here.
it gets below freezing pretty much every night down into the twenties, teens, even around 0 on rare occasions over night.
I've been using 20w40, but...

Is it as simple as unscrewing the bolts from the pan, drop pan down, pump comes off - replace gaskets...

Pretty easy, just put spade connectors on the horn and extend the 2 wires to the 2nd horn.
Its louder than 1, and you won't get a huge ticket if a cop...

then try it again with the exhaust system removed and see...

Don't cheap out in a granny rebuild or its not gonna be reliable.
Again, make sure to tell them to replace all gaskets and install a hi-flo torque converter.

Its probably damn near the same thing as a k&n or any other CAI filter.
You oil and clean it...
