is the car running rough is so unplug and see if it stops running rough
also brake clean can be sprayed in it to clean it
but do not touch anything inside of it

i recently had no brake lights in my van
and a wire came off of thbe brake light switch down on the brake pedal
check down there and see if all ur wires are in good shape

put some cardboard in front of ur radiator
check you coolant to water mix
it might be getting to cold when u are running down the road and freezing in the radiator
how cold is it outside where...

its the same
to take off the dash
there are screws on each end behind those panels that just pop off
and some in the glove box
also some are deep in the glove box which holds down the airbag...

and u have to take the top dash off then there are screws that hold the plastic piece under the dash
its a painin the ass

check the connections at the back winodw to make sure they are plugged in all the way and dont have corrosion on them
if u have a volt meter check for power at them also
u will only get power to...

you try the old long screw driver trick

which is put ur ear on the handle of the screwdriver and the other end on lets say the alternator and see if you can hear
that way

it could just be the belt
spray some belt dressing on it and if it stops
just go buy a new belt
or wait to see if the noise comes back

if u are talking about the bulbs that have that plastic thing around them and you turn them into the back of the instrument panel
well i took mine out broke the bulb and cut the wires going down...

do u mean the check engine light
if so it means something is wrong
like a sensor or misfire
go to autozone and have them put a scan tool on it and read the codes
then u could come back here...

but water under pressure boils at a higher point
since you have a radiator cap that should be around 15 psi

i have a 99 cavalier and it is easy to get to

if u want to do it urself try buying a haynes manual which is about 15 bucks and buy the part and do it urself
beats over 400 bucks

there should be a belt tensioner
which u take a wrench and and put on the nut on the pulley and turn it to loosen the belt
you will have to hold it while u slip a part of the belt off

but if u are having a garage doing it
do the whole compressor cause labor cost alot
and if the compressor goes after u just did...
