2010 Suburban electrical issues
Hello,
I recently bought a 2010 Suburban with 70,000 miles. The dash was cracked and I took it to my local dealer to be replaced. After replacement, the radio, cruise control, instrument panel have flashed off and on sporadically. One time the engine even lost power but powered on again after a few seconds.
It seems that every time this happens, the voltage meter is well below twelve. I've had the alternator checked and everyone says that it is fine. The battery was checked and I was told that it was bad. I had the battery replaced and I had no problems. Three days later, same problems and the voltage meter was low again.
The suburban has been back to the dealer three times and they cannot find anything wrong. Any ideas of what I should do? Is there something in the dash that I should look for?

Welcome to the forum.
Agree. Take it back to dealer and have them find what they did and fix it. Tell them you won't give them a Completely Satisfied on the survey. If that doesn't get their attention, then you have a bad dealer.

Survey? First I've even heard about a survey even after three visits to the dealer. Any idea which wire it could be?

I noticed that every time I disconnect the battery, it runs perfect for around three days. I'm starting to think it may be the computer. Another dealer 30 miles away wants $130 just to check it. Not sure what to do at this point.

Update
This past monday, I cleaned the negative and positive battery cable connections as well as the contacts for the mega fuse.
Since then I've had no issues. Fingers crossed that was the problem.

Sorry was traveling this week but I also cleaned the ground connection to the firewall and it's been running much better lately. I haven't touched the fuses yet. Let's see how it goes.

Update:
came back again this weekend...(5/14/2017)
Suburban was doing these quick outages (traction and stabilizer reset, radio cuts out, low voltage reading for the battery) AND after you turn off the truck, you can hear the front door(both) locks making noise. Like it's trying to open and close. Usually, after 5 minutes it stops but not this time. It did this for an hour and i finally disconnected the battery and everything went back to normal. Also, you couldn't turn car on, no power whatsoever! nothing happens when you turn the key in the ignition. You have to manually open the door with the key.
