Default 2009 Tahoe Rear passenger side back end noise when accelerating.

When we get above 10 miles per hour as we accelerate the noise starts. Inside the vehicle it is pretty loud-rear passenger side. I hung outside from the passenger rear door and noticed the noise coming from either the back tire area or the muffler area. Outside the noise is barley noticeable.

Banging sound? creaking? squeaking? gets louder with more speed, does it in neutral or drive only? tried jacking the rear of the vehicle up off the ground and putting it in gear?
Exhaust sound, drive line sound?
My wife and daughters usually resort to turning the radio up louder to "resolve" strange sounds from the vehicle...

Scraping would be the brake clip, reminding you to change the pads!
