Question antenna base
i have a2004 trailblazer with a broken antenna base. i ordered a new bas with attached coax and a new antenna. the problem i have is the base with coax has a plastic connector on the end. it appears that the one on the truck is crimped. is there a way to make this work.

help

Can you elaborate on this? I have installed two-way radio systems in vehicles, before cellphones were a thing, but I need pics and more information to be of help.
