P0452 bypass?
Hey. Ive just put an engine from a 99 chevy into a 97 chevy Silverado and the old engine still thinks it needs a 452 sensor. But it doesn't. Is there a way to bypass this or do I need to get the computer reprogrammed? Thanks

??? not sure what your asking. 452 sensor means nothing to me....do you mean a code is setting after engine replacement; if yes...post the full code. 452 is not a obdII code. p0452 p1452?
what size motor?

Yes. The P0452 code that the scanner is putting out. It was in the title. It's for a sensor that the Silverado didn't have in 97. The new engine is from a 99. The 99 had it. Therefore the computer thinks there should be one. And there's not. There's not suppose to be in a 97. My question is, is there a way to fix it from thinking that(like maybe a bypass) instead of having to reprogram the new computer.

which model year is the pcm from?
I took a guess and pulled codes for a 97 5.7 and 99 4.8 p0452 does not come up for a 97...for a 99 its a fuel tank pressure sensor code...nothing to do with the engine.
I need more info
what engine size?
were the engine from the same body style truck....there is a 99 old bodystyle and 99 new body style
