I am trying to get a little bit of lift on my 2001 silverado 2500hd. I have done lots of research but i have never done anything like this before so i dont quite know what i am doing. Help please? I am looking at a 3in body lift and a 3in suspension lift for a total of 6in of lift. Will these both work together and what precautions do i need to take? I have found a site that said i needed a 6in suspension to fit 35in tires (i am shooting for 35's) but would the 3 body and 3 sus. cover that? any advice helps! thanks!

Are you lookin to put them on the stock wheels or on aftermarket wheels? You can fit 35s with just crankin the torsion bars(3" suspension lift)

If those would fit with just the torsion bar adjustment then what size could i fit with what i was planning to do?

If you're doin stock wheels then maybe a 37 with some trimmin

do you have any idea how much that would cost? You can probably tell i have a limited budget. I am also wanting to do the work myself instead of someone else doing it. would trimming require me to have someone else do it or could i do it myself?

Well first you have to decide if you just want to do 35s or 37s? And on your stock wheels, or aftermarket wheels. You can do the work yourself easily if you're mechanically inclined

gotcha! what all materials would i need to do the trimming?

I just use some tin snips that we had layin around but anything really will work

What is the proccess? do you have to use something to cut the fender?
