Default 2003 Rearend swap

I made the mistake of buying my 4x4 without the locking differentail. Now I'm wondering what choices I have to change that. So far I have found the Eaton locker that I think is used in the Z71 package, are there others? I was also thinking about doing a complete rearend swap. I'm hoping I could find an 03 z71 rearend with the same gear ratio and just swap it with mine.

What have you all expereinced with installing lockers in the newer (2000 to 2004) rearends?
And would it be easeir just to swap rearends. Am I missing anything other than I have to have the correct gear ratios?

the correct ratio is a must unless you change both front and rear if i were you i would just weight the cost and do wich is more cost effective for you but consider if you buy a used one and do the complete swap what condition is that one in?
